First published 21 April 2020. Expanded in October 2026 so the alliance is not described as a new coin, and so AGIX is not described as FET. Fetch.ai sold 69,204,152 FET on 25 February 2019, paid in BNB. Humayun Sheikh is the person most associated with the company, which started in Cambridge. The token was an Ethereum token. The project’s own mainnet opened on 19 December 2019. An Ethereum FET and a native FET were not the same send. The wrong network is still the wrong city.
The supply figure from the ERC-20 deployment is 1,152,997,575 FET. The mainnet opened with fewer, and the project said the gap would be minted as block rewards over the first years so the native count could catch the Ethereum figure. That was a schedule, not a second coin. A later page that quotes a yearly mint is a schedule from that era. It is not a promise that the alliance still mints at that rate.
In 2024 SingularityNET and Ocean Protocol joined Fetch.ai as the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance. From 1 July 2024, AGIX and OCEAN were converted into FET: 1 AGIX became 0.433350 FET, and 1 OCEAN became 0.433226 FET. FET itself kept trading under FET. A later step was announced as 1 FET to 1 ASI. This page’s ticker is FET, because that is the coin the price row still names. AGIX is not a second balance you can treat as FET without that conversion. An agent in the software is not the token. Nothing here is an instruction to migrate, to run an agent, or to buy FET.
