How the simulator works

• Credits are not money. Every new portfolio gets 100,000.00 CR. One credit tracks one US dollar of price, but credits have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or redeemed.
• Real prices, delayed fills. Prices come from the same snapshot as our coin pages, refreshed about every two minutes. Every order fills at the next price update after you place it, so the price on screen is a guide, not a quote.
• A spread, like a real exchange. You buy slightly above the market price and sell slightly below it: about 0.10% each way for the largest coins, up to 0.50% for smaller ones.
• Order types. Market orders fill at the next update. Limit orders wait for your price. Stop-loss orders sell once the price falls to your stop, and can fill below it if the price drops fast.
• Leaderboards rank % return for today, yesterday, the last 7 and 30 days, and all time. You appear after your first filled trade, with a confirmed email.
• Start over any time after the 7-day cooldown. A reset clears that portfolio's leaderboard history.
