On 8 October 2026 Securitize said it had launched Securitize Stocks: security entitlements to shares of twelve US companies, recorded on Solana and traded on the company’s registered broker-dealer. The first list is Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Circle, SpaceX, MicroStrategy, and Palantir — the tickers in the release are AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, GOOG, TSLA, META, AMZN, NFLX, CRCL, SPCX, MSTR, and PLTR. Each token is supposed to be backed one for one by an underlying share and to be a security entitlement under UCC Article 8, so applicable rights, including dividends and voting where that class of share has them, are meant to travel with the token.
Securitize is a company, listed in New York as SECZ. The token is not the company, and the token is not the stock exchange. Eligible investors in the United States, the European Union, and other places the firm permits can be offered it, subject to securities law and sanctions. “Global” in the release is that list. It is not every address on Solana.
What happened
The live door, on the day of the announcement, is Securitize’s own broker-dealer, Securitize Markets, LLC, with the token on Solana. The firm’s own wording is that holders are not registered shareholders of the underlying issuer unless they convert, and that the issuers have not sponsored or endorsed these tokens. Two other doors are written in the future tense. The tokens are expected to trade on a 24-hour venue the New York Stock Exchange is developing, once that venue launches and the regulatory conditions are met. They are also expected on OKXICE, a tokenized-securities venue tied to OKX and to Intercontinental Exchange, the NYSE’s parent. Expected is not open. A press line about the NYSE is a plan to connect, not a seat on the floor.
The release says the shares backing the tokens will not be lent out. That is a custody promise about the stock. Separately, it says the tokens are designed to support later on-chain use, including lending and collateral markets, and it names Aave as the sort of market it has in mind. Designed to support is not a listing that is live on 8 October. Read those two sentences apart. One is about the share. One is about what someone might later do with the token.
The structure is what the firm calls a convertible entitlement token. If a company later adopts issuer-sponsored tokenization, the holder is supposed to be able to convert the entitlement into a share on the company’s register, through transfer agents Securitize says it works with. Until that company does adopt it, the conversion is a door with the bolt still in. You hold the entitlement the broker described, not a line on the issuer’s register.
Securitize said the offering is built to sit with SEC guidance on tokenized securities, and that secondary trading happens through the broker-dealer without needing an exemption. It also said the tokens are expected to be eligible for the tokenized-securities venues contemplated by the SEC’s Innovation Exemption of 17 September, Release 34-106402. That order is permission for qualifying venues, under caps, with a company veto, until 2031. A product that claims to carry dividend and voting rights is aiming at the inside of that order. A token that only tracks a price is outside it. This announcement is the first kind, as a company describes it. The order itself did not list these twelve names.
Why it matters
If you buy one of these, you are buying a securities position intermediated by a broker, with a token on Solana as the record they chose. The share is still a share of Apple, or of whichever name is on the entitlement. It is not bitcoin, and it is not a Solana coin that happens to have a logo. An exchange balance is an IOU, not a wallet, and here the IOU is a security entitlement: your claim is against the intermediary, for a share that is supposed to be in custody, one for one. If you move the token to an address the broker does not recognise, you may have a token and a problem, not a simpler share. Read the transfer rules before you treat a withdrawal as the same gesture as withdrawing bitcoin.
The wrong network is still the wrong city. Solana addresses are not Ethereum addresses. A lookalike ticker on another chain is not this entitlement. A tokenized stock is a claim on a share, not a coin is the map of the three products that wear this caption. This page is one launch of the entitlement kind.
SPCX in that list is Space Exploration Technologies, the company known as SpaceX, not a ticker with Apple’s kind of public market. Circle, under CRCL, is a listed company. SpaceX is not, in that sense. Take the release’s word for what it is offering — a security entitlement to a share the firm says it holds — and not a caption that every name in the twelve is an NMS stock. The September order was about listed NMS stocks. Where a name sits outside that, the exemption is not the permission slip, and the broker-dealer’s own registration is the path the firm is pointing at. Those are different doors. The press release uses both.
What happens next
The broker-dealer platform is the part that was claimed as open. The NYSE venue and the OKX venue are the part to watch without treating them as done. Companies in the twelve can still have views about third-party tokenization; the September order’s notice-and-objection rule is about venues that rely on that order, not a veto this paragraph can exercise for them. Marketing will say Wall Street arrived on Solana. The arrival, on 8 October, was a broker’s entitlement token. Watch the firm’s own notice for which names actually transfer, pay a dividend, and survive a withdrawal. We will not tell you to buy any of the twelve, on Solana or off it.
Not a recommendation of Securitize, any stock, or any chain. Not legal advice. Not an instruction to move shares, or to connect a wallet to a collateral market because a release named one.
