First published 21 May 2021, the day after the public sale. Expanded in October 2026 so the ticker NFT is not described as an artwork. APENFT was registered in Singapore on 29 March 2021. Justin Sun is the person most associated with it. The public offering, 2 percent of the supply, was on 20 May 2021. The supply is 999,990,000,000,000. Some listings later used the name AINFT. This page follows the price row, which still says APENFT and the ticker NFT.

The project said it registered artworks as NFTs, including pieces it named as Picasso and Warhol. An NFT is a receipt, not a painting in a vault. The token with the ticker NFT is fungible. Every unit is the same unit. It is not one of those receipts, and holding it is not title to a painting. A vote about a collection is a governance claim. It is not the painting.

The token was issued on more than one chain, including TRON and Ethereum. What is TRON (TRX)? is one of those chains. TRX pays a TRON fee. This token does not. An Ethereum copy is a different send. The wrong network is still the wrong city. Nothing here is an instruction to buy art, to mine the token, or to buy it.
