First published 27 October 2021, the day after a Japanese exchange opened trading. Expanded in October 2026 so a nickname is not described as Bitcoin, and so a former employer is not described as the issuer. JasmyCoin is an Ethereum token. Kunitake Ando, a former president of Sony, is the person most associated with the company that issued it. The company is Jasmy. The token is not a Sony product and not a share of Sony. A nickname that calls it Japan’s bitcoin is a slogan. What is Bitcoin, in plain language? is a different asset.

Jasmy’s May 2021 note says the supply is 50 billion. BITPOINT, which started trading it on 26 October 2021, said the token was issued in December 2019. A listing date is not a mint date. The cap those pages name is 50 billion. ETH pays the fee. JASMY does not. Paying someone in the token for data they handed the platform is a company product. Holding JASMY does not by itself pay you for your data.

A copy on another chain is a different send. The wrong network is still the wrong city. Nothing here is an instruction to hand over personal data, to claim a reward, or to buy JASMY.
