Token

An asset issued on a network, often with a ticker that is only a nickname.

A token is an entry that a contract or protocol treats as a balance. The letters in the wallet are a display name. The thing you can spend lives on one specific ledger.

Two tokens can share a ticker. Always check the contract or the native asset, and the network, before you send or approve.
