Market cap
Price times coins counted as existing. A headline number, not a treasury.
Market capitalisation multiplies a price by a supply figure. Both inputs can be argued with: which price, which supply, locked coins, lost coins, pre-mines. The product is a ranking device, not cash in a vault.
A high market cap does not mean you can sell your bag at that price. See liquidity.
